Why are your essentials priced higher than mass market basics?

We hold every Livingwear garment to a standard we can stand behind.  This means, among other things, making choices along the supply chain that may cost a little more.

For instance, we create our fabrics from scratch, control the dye and chemical processes, and design our own pattern blocks instead of buying factory-made ones off the rack.  Most companies usually outsource these processes, but the reasons that made us get into this business in the first place make us want to go granular at every touchpoint.

We price our products to be as accessible as we possibly can, and with these few extra dollars, you’re paying for a piece of clothing that was intentionally made and that will actually last you a lot longer.

All this said, we get that budgetary restrictions are a real thing.  As a way to help ease the load, we offer a 3-month interest-free installment payment option on every item in our online store.  It’s available only for our Singapore users at the moment, but naturally our plan is to roll it out in time to come.

Sizing & Fit

How do I find my size?

For better reference, here’s our Size Chart and a Livingwear measuring guide:

Size Chart

Measure along waistline at the level of the belly button.  If you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing up if you prefer a looser fit.

Measure along the fullest portion of your chest apex, under your arms.  Make sure the tape is levelled throughout during your measurement.

Stand relaxed with your shoulders hanging naturally.  Measure from one end of your shoulder bone to the other, with the tape going across your back.  You might want to ask another person to help you with this measurement.

Okay, I did all of that, and my item has arrived… but it still doesn’t fit!

Absolutely no worries.  We assume this is your first Livingwear purchase in that particular clothing category.  Write us (help@livingwear.co) with the subject title ‘It doesn’t fit!’ and let us know

a) the size you would like to switch to; or
b) if you’d like a full refund.

Either way, you can keep the first item, no questions asked.  This applies to your first purchase in each of our three categories: tops, undershirts, and underwear.  That’s our First Try Promise.

Is there somewhere I can try my item in person first?

Product & Inventory

How do I best care for my Livingwear item?

Great question.  Proper care makes clothing last longer, so do take note of the following:

For washing and drying:
– Either hand-wash, or machine-wash cold on gentle cycle
– If you’re machine-washing, use a gentle detergent and turn clothes inside out.  Do not use bleach on coloured items and refrain from using softeners and from washing with rough fabrics such as denim and towels, as that can reduce the fabric’s lifespan and cause lint pills.
– Either air/hang dry or tumble dry on low. Do not wring or twist!

For ironing:
– Steam or iron on low heat

In general, hot water, high heat, constant direct sunlight, and abrasion will hasten degradation of our fabric, so avoid those where possible!!

Um, my item came with a defect… 

We’re sorry to hear that!  If you notice something amiss with your product, immediately take a photo and contact us (help@livingwear.co) with the subject title ‘Item Defect’. 

Someone from our team will get back asap to help get it sorted.  Our clothes are made by humans, which means loving craftsmanship as well as the occasional oversight; we hope you understand. πŸ™

Nooo, the item that I want is no longer in stock!

Our inventory runs on the smaller side, so do forgive us if we’re out.  We’d suggest getting directly in touch (help@livingwear.co) so we can see how best to resolve this for you.

Returns & Exchanges

What can I return/exchange?

We accept returns and exchanges on all our full-priced items, including those that have been purchased with a discount code.

Items must be unworn, with all tags and labels in their original packaging, and must be within 21 days of purchase.

What can’t I return/exchange?

We do not accept returns or exchanges on:

– Sale items

– Underwear

– Clothing that has been worn, washed, and/or separated from its original tags and labels.

How do returns/exchanges work?

First, drop us an email at nothankyou@livingwear.co with the following:

– Invoice/Order number

– Reason for the return/exchange

– Photo documentation of the issue where applicable (such as a defect)

Additionally, if you are making a return, let us know if you’d prefer your refund in Cash or Store Credit.  Please note that cash refunds require a SGD$5 processing fee, and we are at present unable to bear the mailing cost of any return/exchange.

Once the return/exchange request has been authorised, we’ll provide you with more details including the address you can mail your item to.  Please do not send anything to us before receiving this confirmation! 

Our team will conduct a standard inspection of the item in person before processing the return/exchange and will send you an email notification thereafter.

How long does this process usually take?

Returns/exchanges take around 7 working days to be processed upon receipt of your item.  After which, card refunds take up to 5 working days to show up on your statement, while store credit takes 2 working days to go through.

How long will it take?

Orders are dispatched in 1–2 working days.

Singapore orders will be delivered within 2–3 working days after dispatch.

Global orders will be delivered within 5–10 working days after dispatch, depending on where you are located.

While we’ve found that customs can take a little longer on occasion, if it’s been over 21 days and you have yet to receive your order, do contact us at help@livingwear.co.

How can I track my order?

You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order has been shipped out. Orders can be tracked from the link in the email. 😊

Can I expedite my order?

We love the excitement.  Alas, we do not offer expedited shipping at this present moment.

My item looks like it was damaged during shipping.  Can I get a new one?

Not to worry.  Simply take a photo of the damaged parcel and ping help@livingwear.co so we can make things right for you.

My parcel has disappeared!  I received an email telling me it’s been delivered, but it’s nowhere in sight.

Why is sustainability important to you?

It’s the 2020’s!  Shouldn’t it be important to everyone?

You’ve probably heard a Native American saying that goes, “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.”  More than a responsibility to take care of what we were handed, we think, we need to preserve this place for others.

The topic of sustainability cannot be simplified, but we believe that we can behave optimistically without being naive.  For us, that’s investing greater time and energy in the production and material of our clothes, continuously striving to hold ourselves as accountable as possible in our practices.
