Organic Cotton

Welcome to Livingwear's Organic Cotton. We all love the familiar touch of Cotton - soft, natural and familiar. But Conventional Cotton has a bad rep. That's why we only use Organic Cotton is GOTS certified, sourced & harvested from responsibly managed and certified sources.

These plant fibers are natural, renewable and biodegrable. Organic Cotton is cotton that is produced and certified to organic agricultural standards.

Its production sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people by using natural processes rather than artificial inputs. It does not allow the use of toxic chemicals or GMOs (genetically modified organisms). Instead, it combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote a good quality of life for all involved.

Organic farming combines tradition, innovation and science and promotes fair relationships and a good quality of life for everyone involved.

Why are we using Cotton?

We openly acknowledge that the farming process of organic cotton can require more water and land space than conventional cotton, due to its lower yield, however 80% of this water is rain-fed, which protects non-renewable groundwater and surface water resources.

We also understand that relying on a single source of natural material, such as Cotton, is not sustainable. Therefore, we are constantly on a search and exploration for better material diversity in what we make.

Where does Livingwear's Organic Cotton come from?

The Organic Cotton that we use comes from small farms certified by GOTS in India or in China. We do our diligence to make sure that all our Cotton has been certified Organic by an accredited body
